I planted three sweet 100s and one early girl. The tomatoes are growing great like they usually do. The problem is there on the ground and Im haveing to stake them up. The planter just isnt tall enough.I also bought a topsy turvy planter from CVS for 9.95. I hung it about 7 or 8 feet up and its doing great. The upside down Patio Garden just isnt tall enough.

We started our upside down tomato garden in late April, early March. So far, the plants look fabulous! They are very deep green with plenty of flowers. I am only watering once a day or every other now as the temps are just getting into the mid 90's in mid June. No tomatoes just yet though. As for quality, well, it's made of plastic, so what can you expect? A little on the flimsy side, but we have had some high winds here that blew everything around the yard BUT the planter. So far I am a fan of this product, but we will see how the black bin and the high heat hold up over the duration of the summer. The plastic could stand to be a little stiffer like those resin chairs. I 'd give it an A- or a B+.

I use this item for growing cherry tomatoes. I plant flowers (usually Vinca) in the top because herbs and such dried out so fast. This item requires almost twice daily watering. The top doesn't hold much soil. The plants reach for light so they tend to grow at angles - not like the pictures. I would not buy this product again, however, I do use it because I have it and it wasn't inexpensive!

This will be my first experience with this product so we'll see how well the tomatoes grow. The plant leaves are hard to keep hydrated--even moreso than in a container. The plants on top are doing fine. If this works out, it will be the best thing since sliced bread! I may even buy a couple more!
