around it was. We had 11 inches of snow and the 1800 was excellent. It got right down to the pavement and it shot the snow at least 20 feet. The only negative is that it shoots the snow pretty high in the air, the shoot does not keep the snow down when you want it too.It is still an excellent machine.It is quiet, inexpensive and quite powerful.
