I love my Brill 380 ASM for its light weight, quiet operation, and for the great job it does. It's light enough for me to easily load in and out of the raised shed and a car trunk. It's so quiet, you could mow at midnight if you needed to and not disturb anyone. - In fact, when I worked long hours, I'd often be out mowing in the late evening under the spotlight or moonlight. No one even noticed because there was no noise. Not breathing fumes and not needing earplugs to mow is a real plus! I'd recommend it to anyone with a small lawn.
The only caveat is that you should start with a lawn that's not too long first and you need to pick up larger twigs and fir cones or they may become caught in the reel blades.

For $400 I expected the German engineering promise and all started well. Not to last unfortunately. Battery died after 2 seasons and our seasons are only 5 months long. Replacement batteries cost a whopping $100.
Buy this product only if your lawn is golf green perfect. Any little bump in the surface and the whole mower rattles with the snap in handles coming loose. They are a bit of work to lign up to snap back in. After awhile, the holes get ground down and the handle starts coming off with the slightest shake. Useless. Why not use a wingnut or cotter pin to secure handles in place? It's not like you need to take them off for storage.
Also, god forbid that it rains on a weekend and you can't cut the grass. This mower does a horrible job if the grass is taller than 3-4 inches, and the highest setting is only 1-3/4". It simply pushes the grass down.
What a waste of $400 ... I'm back to a corded Black & Decker. Emails to Brill went unanswered ... they should be embarassed.
