Try milk paint on your walls

Few paints could be more natural than casein paint, which actually uses milk as the active ingredient. Although painting your walls with dairy products may seem like a weird idea, it’s a surprisingly effective way to make use of nature’s largesse without adding harmful chemicals like benzene and formaldehyde to the environment.

Unlike most paints, milk paint includes no harsh chemicals to pollute the air in your home. All it contains is milk, lime, natural fillers, and natural pigments. If you’d prefer to make your own instead of buying one of the several commercially available brands, here’s a recipe. Most varieties are odorless, but some smell like a milkshake — and the scent lasts for months.

Here at Clean Air Gardening, we simply have No VOC painted walls.
