Tips for a Greener Wardrobe

Here’s a good way to save some green while going green: instead of buying a new outfit when it’s time to update your wardrobe, swap what you’ve got with someone else. Folks have been doing this on an ad hoc basis forever, of course, but now there’s Swapstyle, where you can connect to thousands of other people willing to swap their fashion clothing, accessories, shoes, and make-up for yours. All you pay is the postage.

So what makes this practice green, from an ecological perspective? Easy. It uses fewer resources and less energy than manufacturing and shipping new clothing, while decreasing the harmful emissions of both.
