Solarize to Kill Weeds and Weed Seeds!

You can kill all the weeds in a plot of ground completely naturally by using a technique called “solarization.” In early summer, remove all the surface growth, break up the soil, and then cover it over with clear plastic for 2-4 weeks. The heat will rise to over 140° F, killing the weed seeds.
